As a practicing artist and researcher, my beginning was to pursue an undefined dialogue between the spectator and creator. Silence contains all the sounds of my life is an idiocentric statement, conceived from my early days in Santiniketan. Thus the inherited nature of my practice is largely reflecting upon the colors of vacuity as a  speculative region in imagination. The colors of vacuity sparkle under the vain of reality where the reality gives birth of an experienced future. To unfold the realized phenomena, I'm interested to work in various fields of Art. I've a prior interest in the sounds of visuals & music and their bonding, architectural space and the flow of nature, voice of tradition and modernity in the current practice of art, visuals & visualized of the experience in thought and so on.

Research Focus

The first footstep of my research recalls the problem of Muses / Spirit and the topology of its existence. As a pursuer of this problem, I'm also working on the formal structure of different art forms in association with time-space and their blending. Study of miniature paintings in relation with North Indian Classical Music is the first instance of blending I'm focusing on.

Teaching area

Art and Craft : This course is an year long core course spanning over two semesters. The design of this course is to re-intensify the vocabulary of art practice. Perspectival variations are on the edge of its creative genre. Students are encouraged to construct their own vocabulary for carrying out their ideas and thoughts. They deal with multiple medium and material as a tool of reinventing reality. Imagination, expression, persuasion, relation, realization are strongly placed in the foundation of this course.

Installation as a form of art: This course is offered as a graduate and undergraduate elective. Intention is to establish the architectural site for private-public interaction by understanding the cultural traditions of India. The idea was to look at the formal potentials for chiseling out the actual space of growth due respect to the site. Students are expected to design and implement some actual installations in groups. Societal, conceptual, environmental and indoor / outdoor installations are examined to bring out the theoretical ground for installation as a form of art.
